5 exciting ways to spice up your branding

Do you need to spice up your branding? Branding is a key factor for any business.

It needs personality and a voice. Do you need to improve your branding? If you think you do, then here are a few ideas to help. They won’t cost you anything, but may need some of your time to put them into place.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to decorating the Christmas tree, I like to do things a certain way!

Firstly, the colour scheme. Are you going for the traditional red and green? Or maybe something a little more wintery with blue, silver and white? Me, I like colour, funnily enough just like the colours I use in my logo!

Do you know who your ideal client is?

Do you know who your ideal client is? Are they male/female or both? How old are they? Do they have kids? Where do they hang out? What do they read? Are they business owners themselves or are they employed?

All this information becomes really useful for all your branding materials, online and offline. It means you have more clarity in terms of your brand message as you know who you are specifically targeting.

Brand Consistency – Is your brand consistent?

Brand consistency is a key factor when it comes to showing your brand to the outside world.

If there’s no consistency in your branding, you’re giving out the wrong impression. Your brand and business needs to be professional. Brand consistency means using the same colours and fonts each time. Every piece of branding online and offline should have a uniform look.

Your Brand Voice

When it comes to your business, your ‘brand voice’ needs to come through crystal clear.

I had a meeting with a new client of mine last week and it got me thinking. As I sat listening to Kathryn tell me about what she does and her business goals, I discovered she had an amazing sense of humour. She was quirky, elegant and entertaining.

Every piece of content you publish needs to have a brand ‘ voice’. This is the soul of your business. So for Kathryn, her brands voice needs to be just that – quirky, elegant and entertaining.
