Do you know who your ideal client is?

Do you know who your ideal client is? Are they male/female or both? How old are they? Do they have kids? Where do they hang out? What do they read? Are they business owners themselves or are they employed?

All this information becomes really useful for all your branding materials, online and offline. It means you have more clarity in terms of your brand message as you know who you are specifically targeting.

For example: a beauty and spa business

Their target market is: both male and female, but the majority will be female.
Their age range is: 25 – 44 years old.
Do they have kids: yes.
Where do they hang out: in coffee shops, going to family events at weekends, shopping at the metrocentre etc.
What do they read: House and home magazines, beauty and fashion magazines etc.
Are they business owners or employed: Both.
Why would they use a beauty and spa business? They like to look after themselves, they like the choice of treating themselves, having more confidence every day and feeling good every day.

Once you can gather all this information about your ideal client and more, you can start using this information throughout all your branding materials, through a consistent message and look. Ensure you can relate to your ideal client; Every question you ask, make sure they can say YES to it.

So once again, do you know who your ideal client is?

Do you know who your ideal client is? Yes or No

If the answer is yes, perfect. It’s time for a strategy.
If the answer is no, it’s time to start doing some research. It may take time, but having clarity on who exactly is your ideal client will help you in so many ways to market your business more.
