Hayden from Studio George emailed me one day with a great brief as to what he was after for the branding of his brand new business, which was going to be offering interior design services with an online shop selling home furnishings. He was very clear about the look and feel he wanted and soon became a client of mine.
Based on the process I like to go through with all my clients, I started to look over Hayden’s answers to the client questionnaire I’d sent and something really stood out for me… he said his mission with Studio George was “making the everyday a little less ordinary.” I thought this was beautiful and it inspired me with the idea behind the logo design.
Based on the dream customers Hayden wanted to work with, the logo needed to reflect minimalism, experience and high quality products and services. And because of the quote above from Hayden, I decided to play with the logo from a typographical point of view and I came up with the idea of turning the S in Studio the other way round. Why? Because it brought in an element of being ‘a little less ordinary’.
I also developed a strong vision board for Hayden’s brand along with a warm but elegant colour palette.
Hayden opted for the ‘Elevate-a-Brand’ Package, which meant he received not only logo design ideas for his new brand, but also a business card design, social banner designs, branded social media graphics and a competitor analysis and brand strategy as well.
